Biography


     Isaac Newton (1642 - 1727) was a physicist, inventor, English mathematician and alchemist, author of the Principia, where he described the law of universal gravitation and established the foundations of classical mechanics with the laws that bear his name. His other works include scientific discoveries about the nature of light and optics and the development of mathematical calculation. 
     Newton shares the credit with Leibniz for the development of differential and integral calculus, he used to formulate his laws of physics. Also contributed in other areas of mathematics, developing the binomial theorem.
